LinkedIn First Social Network To IPO – Now Worth $8.9 Billion
LinkedIn ended its first day as a publicly traded company 108% higher in value than when each share was initially priced.
A share in LinkedIn will now cost you $94 each, as opposed to just a few days ago when it was estimated to be $45 each.
The shares climbed all the way to $122.70 overnight before settling at the $94 mark – with 300 million shares changing hands.
LinkedIn is now 36 times better off than the $243 million in revenue the company made in 2010, as opposed to Google at 5.5 times better.
