How Sometimes, YouTube Gets It All Wrong

BLOG 2 Comments

Rebecca Black’s “Friday” is a YouTube sensation. No one knows why.

Usually, when you commit to a ‘music video’ and use pre-pubescent teenagers, poorly scripted and amateurish lyrics and autotune, you’re probably going to get laughed at.

This time around, 44 million viewers have opted instead to make Rebecca Black a rising star.

There isn’t much going for the music video, and for the most part, you tend to cringe a fair bit. One can only make sense of the viewership as Bieber-esque, or looking for a laugh.

Just proves that you don’t have to be good, to actually be “good”.

Can’t see the video? Lucky you
